Not surprising, trails were mint at West Bragg Creek Friday night. I did a ~21km ride: Whitetail, Braggin Rights, Merlin, Kestrel, Tom Snow. Part of The Great Trail project (Cross Canada Trail), there’s a new switchback descent to Tom Snow, which now opens up the possibility to do some cool loops. Tom Snow eventually links to the bottom of Merlin (go left at the junction whereby the option to the right highlights "Equestrian"). You can just ride back to WBC parking lot via Braggin Rights or head on to Reconnect and Long Distance to extend your ride.
I did get a sprinkle of rain on Kestrel, but did not affect the ride at all. The wind was picking up, skies looking ominous, but all ended up well.
Many thanks to all the trail builders, volunteers responsible, and to Bragg Creek Trails.
