ALL ABOUT TRAIL LYNX

Wander with wonder.

As an avid Trail Explorer and finding myself moving away from social media sites, I created Trail Lynx to facilitate crowdsourcing and curating the best information for trail reports and related products for hiking, mountain biking, fatbiking, and cross-country (a.ka. nordic or XC) skiing.  As well, Trail Lynx aims to connect trail-using enthusiasts with trusted and amazing coaches, trainers, local stores, and therapists as a central hub for all things trail-related.

Explore the Trail Lynx site and forum to find out more. I can’t wait to connect and hear from you.

TRAIL LYNX

A Not-For-Profit Social Enterprise

Trail Lynx supports nature-based charities such as Nature Conservancy of Canada and builders and operators of local trails like Bragg Creek Trails and Moose Mountain Bike Trail Society.

We here at Trail Lynx are also believers in the power of nature in mental and spiritual wellness and are planning some initiatives to support mental health.

Why Lynx?

  • It's a homonym of "links"

  • It's a constellation! "Lynx's most notable deep sky object is NGC 2419, also called the "Intergalactic Wanderer"

  • It's a super cool animal! The lynx has a large territory of between 15 and 50 square kilometres.

  • It's the name of some fabulous trails, like its namesake in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, Kananaskis, Alberta.
