Here's a roundup from my quick perusal of current conditions:
WBC
"Rode telephone to disconnect then along long distance to reconnect. LD north and reconnect was pretty bumpy in places and there's a tree down at the bottom of disconnect in the switchbacks. Then went down the shell rd to snowy owl and west crystal. They were good. Snowy owl and west crystal were smooth and fast. ~ Jason Z.
"We rode Snowshoe Hare and Snowy Owl yesterday. Conditions are definitely mixed. Ice, soft, hard packed and dirt. All of us had studs and I lowered my pressure after the first climb. Heard backside of Merlin wasn’t super fun, but doable. I’m curious if anyone has done all of Telephone?? First section seemed pretty firm." - Sherri B.
"For those who venture out Slithering Owl from Snowy Owl be prepared to hit a wall of snow with NO defined trail after the bridge at the bottom on Snakes and ladders." - Hugh W.
{Note: Slithering Owl = unsanctioned trail}
Gentle Reminder:
"Now that it’s winter, please Ride the Wide -tires greater than 3.7 inches.
Every season 100’s of volunteer hours are spent treadsetting the All Season Trails for fat biking in West Bragg Creek"

MOOSE MOUNTAIN
"we did Race of spades on wed night and it was very mushy, ended up running 2.5 psi on fatties to get down, road was nice." - Alex B.
PRAIRIE VIEW/JEWEL PASS
"Nooner, Friday Jan 14
Little icy on the way up. This hill feels bigger in winter! I am confident to say you would need studs. The rocky climb at the top was narrow but do-able as a push like it normally is.
Top part of descent was excellent! The snow smoothed out the root steps.
Bottom part of descent was fairly granular and unconsolidated. Or heavily covered in frozen footprints. The path under the hydro line was part snow part gravel. Don’t recommend trying to shortcut back on the lake." - Brett P.
CNC
"CNC was primo today at 3pm (Friday). Studs not required but nice to have." - Chris P.
FISH CREEK
"Trails were still pretty great Friday morning! Running regular summer tires and at pretty firm pressures even and other than a couple steep, off-camber icy bits and the odd soft spot in the sun it was pretty great riding." - Kyle H.
12 MILE COULEE
"12 Mile remained in excellent shape this morning. Firm fast packed snow throughout, with a few glazed spots where sun/wind exposed. One ice flow, but that is optional." - Steve R. (Wednesday)
PASKAPOO SLOPES
"Out on Paskapoo Slopes where there isn’t a bunch of direct sunlight so the rails are staying hard.
Mind the snow covered skinnies and ice flows!" - Duncan M (Instagram)
